The 63rd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairperson Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is being observed in Larkana on Tuesday (today).
The ceremony was started by the recitation of Holy Quran at Benazir Bhutto’s mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Buksh.
On the occasion, both leaders and supporters belonging to PPP gathered at the tomb to pay tribute to their slain leader who was assassinated on December 27, 2007, in Rawalpindi.
A floral wreath was also laid on the grave of Benazir Bhutto while special prayers were also held for the peace of departed soul.
On the other hand, a special event has also been organised by Bakhtawar Bhutto and Asifa Bhutto at Naudero House to celebrate Benazir’s birthday.
Sources told that prominent party leaders including Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Qaim Ali Shah would also attend the ceremony.
PPP or PPPP are now good enough political parties to observe 'anniversaries' only.
