A man injured in acid attack by woman over refusal to marry her, expired during treatment in hospital on Tuesday.
The accused Shamim who wanted to marry Sadaqt, had thrown acid on June 16, in Rashidabad area, suburbs of Multan after his refusal to marry her.
A major portion of Sadaqat’s body was scorched in the acid attack and he was under treatment at burn unit of the Nishtar Hospital Multan where he succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday morning.
The body was handed over to heir after medico-legal formalities.
Shamim had confessed to throwing acid at Sadaqat’s face. According to reports, Shamim was a mother of four who was married and was having an affair with Sadaqat. Upon his refusal to marry her, Shamim threw acid onto his face in a fit of rage.
