Armed men gunned down two sisters, injured three people and fled the scene of the crime.
According to police, the men barged into a house and opened indiscriminate fire at residents sleeping in the house in Chak No 272-GB of district Jarranwala of Faisalabad. Two girls, identified as sisters, were killed in the firing while their parents remained safe.
The neighbours tried to apprehend the fleeing accused after which they opened straight fire at them injuring three people and managed to escape from the scene.
The bodies and injured were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities. According to police, the incident seems to be the outcome of old enmity. A case has been registered into the incident and investigation is in progress.
