At least three people were killed and three others injured while 20 including a car lifter were arrested and weapons, hand grenade and drugs were recovered from their possession during separate actions on Sunday.
Police said that armed men gunned down two persons and injured two others in Korangi No 4. The bodies and injured were shifted to a hospital.
Rescue sources said that a man died when wall of a textile factory collapsed in Landhi area. Another person was injured in firing of unidentified armed men near Al-Asif Square in Sohrab Goth.
The police arrested 20 criminals including a car lifter Moeen Memon wanted by police in more than 17 cases besides recovering arms, hand grenade and drugs during separate actions in Orangi Town, Momanabad, Ittehad Town, Jackson, Chakiwara and other areas of the city.
