KP CM sets up advisory committee for CPEC

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak constituted an executive advisory committee for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) that will act as a senior advisory panel to the provincial government on all matters related to the CPEC project.

The committee comprises Economic Zones Development and Management Company Chairman Ghulam Dastgir, Iskandar Khan, Mohsin Syed, Dr Mohsin Khan, KP Energy and Power secretary, Industries secretary, Strategic Support Unit (SSU) Head Sahibzada Saeed Ahmad and KP Planning and Development secretary.

The Committee will represent the province in CPEC related activities both in Pakistan and overseas. It will also conduct research on matters of relevance to the CPEC project, explore potential project for inclusion in the CPEC agenda and ensure successful implementation of the CPEC.

The committee will assist the provincial government and legislators in matters related to CPEC and maintain good liaison between provincial government and China.
