Hot, humid weather to prevail over next 24 hrs in country

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Sunday (today) forecasts weather to remain very hot and humid in most parts of the country over the next 24 hours.

However, rain/thundershower is likely in isolated places of the Punjab including (Lahore, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi), Islamabad and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Mostly partly cloudy weather is expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan with chances of rain/thundershower in isolated places of Kashmir in the next 24 hours.

In Sindh, mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts in the next 24 hours whereas the coastal areas will remain partly cloudy.

The southwestern wind will blow likely at a speed of 25-45/km.

The maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to remain between 33-35°C.

Meanwhile, the sun will continue to bake Lahore. The maximum temperature in the metropolis will be 40°C whereas minimum will be 29°C.

The wind will blow at a speed of 14km/hour having 70% moisture in it.

Yesterday’s highest maximum temperature recorded in Islamabad 27°C, Lahore 29°C, Karachi and Peshawar 28°C, Quetta 20°C, Gilgit 17°C, Murree 19°C and Muzaffarabad 24°C.
