An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday rejected the report submitted by police claiming that no evidences were found against Asad Khan and Owais in a case pertaining to attacking police party and water theft in Baldia pumping station.
Police submitted a challan (charge sheet) with the administrative judge of ATC stating that the investigators did not find evidences against the accused.
Police submitted a report under Section 173 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) according to which there were no evidences against the accused of attacking police party when it reached to retaliate water theft in Baldia Town pumping station.
After going through the report, the judge declined the report and transferred the case to the concerned ATC for further trial. It observed that the report cannot be accepted, the court will decide the matter after recording statements of the applicant and witnesses.
