Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakariya on Thursday clarified on the border issues between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The FO spokesperson in a press briefing maintained that soon the talks between the two countries would reach a conclusive stage, adding that the Torkham border clash shouldn’t be termed as a war.
Zakariya further added that Afghanistan is Pakistan’s neighbouring country and we have an association with it.
He clarified that Pakistan will become a proper member of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation the next week.
Talking about the completion of two years of Operation Zarb-i-Azb, Zakariya said Pakistan has achieved many accomplishments during the war.
The installation of the steel gate had become a bone of contention between Afghan and Pakistani border officials as the Afghans had objected to it.This had fuelled clashes at the Torkham border for the last three days.
