At least three alleged criminals were injured in two different police encounters in Lyari and Golimar areas of the city on Thursday.
An accused, Zubair, 20, son of Abdul Qadir, resident of Meera Naka, Lyari, was injured in a shootout with police in Lyari. Police arrested him and shifted to civil hospital, Karachi.
In another police encounter, two alleged accused, Noman, 30, son of Jan Muhammad, and Sohail, 35, son of Habib, residents of UP Morr, were shot at and injured by a police team in encounter in Golimar’s Peoples Street. The police overpowered them and shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
