The United Sates said that good relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan are the key to stability in the region.
The US is concerned over the recent clashes at the Torkham crossing point between Pakistan and Afghanistan, said State Department Spokesperson John Kirby at a daily press briefing in Washington.
He further said that the US continues to encourage both Pakistan and Afghanistan to resolve their disagreements at the crossing point and to de-escalate tensions.
