An over speeding bus collided with a truck coming from opposite direction near Sahiwal on Wednesday night, killing at least seven people and wounding more than 35.
The ill-fated bus was travelling to Lahore from Sukkur. Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to District Headquarters Hospital where the condition of seven injured persons is stated to be critical.
Drivers of bus and truck were among the dead. Eyewitnesses said that the bus was overloaded and was driven at a very fast speed.
