KARACHI, PAKISTAN, JUN 15: Four years old Abdullah son of deceased Halima represented in front of court on the eve of Halima murder case hearing at City Court in Karachi on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. The case was highlighted when four-year-old Abdullah was dropped off at Edhi Centre in Clifton by a man, who was later identified as Khan. As the police started looking for his parents, a body was found in Delhi Colony that was confirmed to be Abdullah’s mother, Halima. The police made the connection between the two incidents when they learned that Khan’s CNIC, which he submitted when he brought Abdullah to Edhi Centre, was used to rent the Delhi Colony apartment. A family court allowed Ch Iqbal to meet his son first time after the murder of boy’s mother Haleema on Wednesday.

Ch Iqbal presented the ‘nikahnama’ and marriage certificate of Haleema. According to the ‘nikahnama’ and marriage certificate, Ch Iqbal was married to Haleema in 2007 and Abdullah born to them in 2014. At the time of marriage, Ch Iqbal was 50, while Haleem was 18 years old. Both have been shown unmarried in the nikkahnama.

The counsel for Faisal Edhi stated that Abdullah’s father had not met him for several years and Abdullah was the only eyewitness of his mother’s murder, so he could face a threat to his life.

Meanwhile, the court has demanded details from the NADRA about the ‘nikkahnama’ and marriage certificate till July 14.

  1. If Abdullah was born in 2014 then how come he is 4 years old?? In other news, Abdullah father's age is mentioned as 69 years. If this is the case then how come he was 50 when he married Halima in 2007? This is so confusing!
May Allah bless Abdullah and keep him safe. Allah knows better how much the poor child has suffered and how much suffering he has to bear more. What fate the boy has now? His old unkind father who apparently didn't care for him as the boy failed to recognize him, his stepbrother who can be a threat to him considering the inheritance issues.
