Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary told the Senate on Tuesday that the process of renovation and upgradation of schools in Islamabad Capital Territory is in full swing to make them a model for the whole country.
Responding to a calling attention notice moved by Mian Muhammad Ateeq Shaikh, he said that 22 schools have been upgraded in the first phase. He said an amount of Rs 3.28 billion will be spent for the renovation of 200 more schools in the second phase. He said new buses are also being acquired on the directions of the prime minister to ensure the students of easy access to the educational facilities.
