Special Assistant to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi said that in this age of transformation with fast-paced changes at the global level, Pakistan is fully alive to counter them.

He said, “Pakistan has fully supported Ashraf Ghani’s government in Afghanistan but there are certain core issues which require to be addressed, including the border management.”
Fatemi said the Quadrilateral Coordination Group was formed to address the Afghan issue but the United States drone attack has caused negative impacts on this initiative.
About relations with India, he said Pakistan sincerely initiated a peace process with the neighbouring country but all those moves were not adequately reciprocated.
With regard to Pak-Iran ties, the special assistant said they are durable and strong covering over 60 years.
About the firing incident at Orlando in US, he said it would strengthen anti-Muslim and anti-Islam lobbies.
