Khurshed Shah urges PPP to refrain from street politics

Opposition leader Syed Khursheed Shah Monday (today) has said that it will be in the interest of the prime minister to accept the terms of references (ToRs) proposed by the opposition parties.

Information Minister Pervez Rashid held a meeting with a leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah to discuss the ToR.

Talking to media after the meeting Shah said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will take a decision if the talks between the government and opposition on terms of reference (ToRs) of a judicial commission will end in failure.

He added that the Pakistan People’s Party wanted to refrain from street politics but if the government does not change its stance we will have to rethink our decision.

Khursheed Shah said that the government should accept the opposition’s ToRs without changing a word.

Pervez Rasheed asked the opposition leader for names that could be placed in the parliamentary committee.

Deadlock persisted between the government and opposition over ToRs during a meeting held on Friday. The committee will meet again on Tuesday at 3 PM.
