Tariq Fazal says Rs 1.75b subsidies being given on edibles during Ramzan
Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Minster of State Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that a new emergency block at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) would be inaugurated in the coming week.
The minister said that the PM has taken a special interest in the health sector; hence, the premier always kept the provision of best health facilities to the citizens and the development of the country his top priority.
He said that all steps would be taken to ensure the provision of best health facilities to the patients in the hospitals of the federal capital under the vision of the premier.
The minister called upon the doctors, administrators and other officials of the hospitals to perform their duties with honesty and dedication.
Meanwhile, the minister said that on the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif around Rs 1.75 billion subsidies is being given on all edible items across the country during Ramzan.
He expressed these views during his visit to sasta bazaar Sector G-6. On this occasion, senior officers of the CDA also accompanied him.
He said that in line with the directions of the PM, edible items are not only being provided in large quantity but their availability at concessional rates is also being ensured so that residents could get maximum benefit from this facility during the month of Ramzan.
The minister directed the concerned formations to ensure the provision of quality edible items including fresh fruits and vegetables in these bazaars on concessional rates during the holy month of Ramzan.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry directed to ensure the presence of relevant staff at the bazaars so that complaints of the consumers could be addressed at the earliest. He directed the concerned formations of the authority to take all steps for provision of quality edible items at concessional rates to the residents at sasta bazaars of the capital during the month of Ramzan.
He further directed that strict monitoring and constant vigilance should be ensured so that residents of the city could get maximum benefits from these bazaars.
He directed to take strict action against the elements involved in complaints regarding overcharging and misbehaving with the consumers. He further directed to ensure the display of approved rate list at stalls of these bazaars.
