Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed satisfaction with the performance of the party’s Coordination Committee for Sindh and directed it to speed up the party’s re-organisation process involving every worker and their opinion.
The PPP chairman presided over a meeting of Sindh party’s coordination committee at Bilawal House on Monday.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Senator Sherry Rehman attended the meeting among members of the committee, including Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Murad Ali Shah, Maula Bux Chandio, Nafisa Shah and Rashid Rabbani.
Bilawal directed the committee to also include women among office-bearers for mother organisations and hold separate workers’ meetings for other wings like women, youth, student and labour etc.
The committee briefed the chairman about its activities so far as workers’ meetings have been completed in eight districts. Some recommendations prepared through consensus and input from party cadres for their respective district organisations were also delivered to Bilawal.
On the occasion, the PPP chairman asked the chief minister to ensure that Sindh government goes for anti-corruption legislation, with input from civil society, for conducting impartial and independent accountability in the province.
