Doctors at a village in Shahdadkot village demonstrated worst negligence when they left a surgical scissor inside 70-year-old woman’s stomach during kidney treatment.
Arbab Khatoon, 70, had approached a local private hospital for kidney stone treatment. Doctors operated upon the lady and sewed her stomach up and mistakenly left the surgical scissors inside her belly. The woman developed severe pain in the stomach and visited the hospital again. Doctors conducted her X-ray and it was revealed that a scissor had been left inside her stomach. More to her miseries, the hospital administration is demanding Rs 50,000 to remove scissor from her abdomen, which the woman says is much beyond her affordability.
