Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, daughter of former president Asif Ali Zardari, Sunday paid a surprise visit to Lyari, a stronghold of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
“Went on a surprise monitoring visit to #Liyari. Took notice of improper garbage disposal. Working with stakeholders on sustainable solutions,” Aseefa wrote on her verified Twitter account.
Aseefa met with locals who chanted pro-Bhutto slogans. She said that she was committed to improving sanitation and portable water access to the people of Lyari. Aseefa Bhutto Zardari
During her visit, she expressed anger over poor hygienic conditions and lashed out at the district administration. She also interacted with locals during her visit and was humbled by their “Jeay Bhutto” chants.
