At least eight people apprehended in Ghotki for allegedly kidnapping people by fooling them with woman voice.
According to reports, the security personnel launched a crackdown against the criminal elements.
Police officers said that the detainees were absconders and were wanted in several cases. They also revealed that the arrested criminals were living in Rangpur for quite long time and held various kidnapping for ransom.
