Woman’s body found, two terrorists among 26 arrested

A dead body of woman was found from a plot near Do Darya on Saturday whereas law enforcement agencies rounded up more than 24 persons, including two terrorists and a Lyari gangster, in raids across different parts of the mega city.

According to police sources, the dead body of a woman identified as Nadia was recovered near Do Darya area. It was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for autopsy.

Police said the deceased woman was resident of Shahrah-e-Faisal area. They said that unknown persons murdered the female after kidnapping her. The counter-terrorism department arrested two most wanted terrorists in an operation in Orangi Town area of the city.

According to the SSP CTD, the arrested terrorists are associated with outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Meanwhile, a Lyari gangster named Bilawal Sindhi, an activist of Uzair Baloch group, was arrested by law enforcement agencies from Lyari’s Baghdadi area. He was shifted to an undisclosed place for investigation.

At least 11 suspected persons were rounded up during a search operation at Saudabad. Some 10 others were nabbed during a raid at Cantt station. Police said that the accused were arrested for not having complete travel documents. A foreign national was nabbed whereas three suspects were arrested from the jurisdiction of Civil Lines Police Station.
