Tobacco deaths

In recent past years, tobacco has really became a serious problem for the health of the people. Each year, tobacco kills more than six million people and an additional 600,000 die from the smoke of the cigarettes.

What is the more saddening is that the number of girl smokers is rising as it has jumped from six percent to sixteen percent. Smoking is a big addiction to the youth due to easy availability and affordability. The media has also failed to highlight such issues which need to be eradicated soon. None of our leaders are ready to protect the youth whose lives are being destroyed. I would like to request the health authorities to ban tobacco and protect the lives of millions of young people in our country.
