Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that if the terms of reference (ToRs), regarding the investigation of the Panama Leaks issue, are not decided then the party will take to the streets and the government will not be able to handle such a movement.
While talking to media on Saturday, Khan said that the government is delaying the matter to avoid accountability. He said the government will make efforts to seclude the party, adding that the politicians will also be bribed.
The PTI chairman said that Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) and its leaders are afraid of accountability as the leaders know that they have looted the national exchequer. He once again presented himself for accountability, saying that his hands are clean; therefore, he is not afraid of accountability. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members should also present themselves for accountability if their hands are clean.
Answering a question, he said that the sit-in in 2013 was staged as a response to the government for not probing the election results of the four constituencies of the National Assembly. He stated that it was later proved that rigging took place in all the four constituencies. He said that if his party gets an opportunity then accountability against all four of the retired election commissioners will be held.
Khan said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is the “election commission of PML-N”, adding that all four of the previous commissioners were guilty.
