2 killed in clashes, tortured body found in Mandi Bahauddin

At least four people were killed and three others including a woman received injuries in separate incidents on Saturday.

According to police, two people identified as Pervaiz and Sajid were killed in a clash between two rival groups while three others including a woman were injured in cross firing. The bodies and injured were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, during the thunderstorm, rain and gusty winds a 55-year-old person and two cattle were struck and died by lightening in suburban village Kot Fazal Shah.

In a separate incident, Saddar police recovered a dead body of about a 40-year-old person and found torture marks on the body, near Kot Baluch area about 6 KM North East from the district. The deceased was later identified as Younis, a resident of Mohallah Mughalpura, Mandi Bahauddin. The body was moved to DHQ Hospital for postmortem.

Muhammad Afzal, brother of the deceased, has alleged that his brother died due to police torture.
