A Shaheen Air International flight made an emergency landing in Karachi after the aircraft’s tyre burst during take-off on Friday evening.

Around 150 passengers and crew were on board the Shaheen Air international flight NL901 flying from Islamabad to Manchester when it was asked to make an emergency landing in Karachi following a tyre burst.

Emergency services and Air Traffic Control at Karachi’s Quaid-e-Azam International Airport cleared the runway after which the Shaheen Air aircraft successfully landed. There were no reports of injury on board the aircraft.

Earlier in November, at least 10 passengers were injured as the tyre of a domestic Shaheen Air International flight burst during an emergency landing at Allama Iqbal International Airport.

The plane skidded off the Lahore runway when faulty landing gear caused the tyre to burst.

The fuselage of the aircraft was damaged after the plane skidded off the runway.
