Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hong Lei has said the international community should respect Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in view of its anti-terror efforts and support to the Afghan reconciliation process.
“Pakistan has made enormous efforts to combat terrorism and support the Afghan reconciliation process. The international community should fully recognize that and respect Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Lei said when asked for remarks on Pakistan’s statement about US drone strike (that killed Taliban leader Mullah Mansour) at the weekly press briefing.
The spokesperson further said that the Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) was formed to create enabling conditions for the Afghan reconciliation process and all relevant parties should pull together for that goal.
