At least 10 suspects have been apprehended during search operations by intelligence agencies in different areas of Karachi.
On a tip-off, intelligence agencies raided Liaqatabad, Lyari and Pak Colony areas of Karachi on Thursday and rounded-up 10 suspected persons. According to sources, weapons, drugs and hand-grenades were recovered from the suspects’ possession during the raid.
The detainees have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigations. The detainees were wanted to police in various crimes and were affiliated with banned outfits, political parties, and Lyari gang war groups.
Meanwhile, police arrested an accused person, Kamran, during a shootout in Pirabad, and a weapon was also recovered from his possession. Similarly, police arrested an accused person, Ishtiaq Gul, in injured condition during a police shootout in Zaman Town, and a weapon, stolen motorcycle, and valuables were also recovered from his possession.
Similarly, police arrested accused persons Danish and Sameer during a search operation from Defence Phase 2, while two TT pistols, stolen motorcycle, and valuables were also recovered from their possession.
