Power shortage has continued to persist in the country during Sehr and Iftar timings despite government’s tall claims, Pakistan Today learnt on Wednesday (today).
The sources close to the National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) said that current power generation is 14,800 MW against the need of 19,300 MW while electricity shortfall has gone past 4,500 MW.
According to the new time table issued by NTDC officials, urban areas would face six to eight hours of power cut while eight to 10 hours of load shedding would be executed in rural areas.
According to the NTDC authorities, there is no unannounced load shedding in any region.
