College principal gunned down in Quetta

The Balochistan University’s Law College principal was gunned down by unknown assailants in a target killing incident in Quetta Wednesday (today).

According to the reports, Principal Barrister Amanullah was on his way to the workplace from his residence when unidentified gunmen opened fire at him in Kalli Tarakha area of the city.

The barrister succumbed to his wounds while he was being taken to Civil Hospital Quetta. According to hospital sources, the slain principal had 13 bullet wounds.

Police and frontier corps personnel reached the scene and initiated investigation of the incident.

There have been no claims of responsibility for the attack.

The Balochistan High Court’s chief justice and a large number of lawyers reached the hospital after the incident.

Balochistan governor and Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri have condemned the incident and called report of the incident from the provincial police chief.
