The last time TV host Aamir Liaquat Hussain was in the news it was when he resigned over fellow Geo News anchors wearing Army Public School’s uniform during their news bulletin on December 15 in the memory of Peshawar attacks.
Now the man has hit the headlines once against because he appeared on his show ‘Pak Ramzaan’ wearing a blue robe and wings, imitating Taher Shah, with the song Angel playing in the background.
He invited Taher on his show and praised him for the song. Liaquat recalled the time he invited Taher on his show, two years ago, and may have said something that he shouldn’t have. To make up for his behaviour, he said he is wearing Taher’s “angel dress”.
“Today, I am wearing your beautiful Angel dress, and I would like to tell the whole world that it is very easy to make fun of someone, to mock someone, but there are very few people who spread happiness and Taher Shah is one of those who has spread happiness amongst us all,” said Liaquat who couldn’t stop raving about the song which was, in fact, an international ‘hit’.
Two years ago, when Taher Shah released his first song “Eye-To-Eye”, the host invited the singer on his show and asked him in a sarcastic tone “who asked you to sing?”, which many thought was nothing less than an insult.
Just so you know, Taher Shah’s “Angel” dominated social media for weeks after its release and people couldn’t stop mocking, joking and even appreciating it.
