KP government has taken the decision to terminate around 12,500 police officials – a list which includes 10,000 reserve police and 2,500 ex-servicemen and this decision will come in effect by the 30 june 2016. This is staggering and irrational. As this decision doesn’t own any rationality, it received concerns of IG KP, Nasir Khan Durrani. He said that we are already in the state of war and the security officials are already less in numbers to tackle the menace of terrorism. He further added there are clear signs of threat to the CPEC construction and for that we have to make our security personnel more efficient and active both in quality and quantity. He didn’t endorse this unwise decision of the KP government and registered his concerns over this decision. Now, this has to be seen that the KP government will take its decision back or not?
