Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Dr Haider Ashraf said that the Lahore police have ensured foolproof security arrangements for the holy month of Ramzan. “As many as 10,000 police personnel will be deployed in the city to maintain the law and order situation in Ramzan, and no one will be allowed to enter the mosques and imambargahs without thorough frisking,” he said during a visit to the fruit market of Badami Bagh on Tuesday.

On the occasion, DIG talked to some of the police officials deployed there and instructed them to be vigilant during their duty hours. Moreover, he said that all the mosques and imambargahs of the city have been divided into A, B and C categories and that all the divisional SPs have been instructed to ensure security arrangements of Ramzan Bazaars.
