Lahore Police committed to ensuring safety of citizens: CCPO

 

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Captain ® Amin Wains said that the Lahore police are trying to engage with the local people in order to resolve their problems. We all must work jointly to maintain the law and order of the city, he said on Monday while addressing the people in Wahdat Colony area.

He inaugurated a check post in Union Council (UC) 217. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Lahore police have introduced the mechanism of ‘beat system’ and Lahore has been divided into 271 beats. He added that the officials from operation and investigation wing will round in all the beats to nurture a sense of safety among the citizens. Moreover, the corps of CIA, Dolphin, PRU and traffic wardens will also be a part of all the beats to improve the law and order, he added.

“The citizens must inform the police if they find someone involved in land-grabbing, aerial firing and other illegal activities,” he said. Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister Khwaja Ahmad Hassaan, SSP Investigation Hasan Mushtaq Sukhera and SP CIA Umar Virk were also present on the occasion.
