Kot Radha Kishan lynching case: ATC summons witnesses

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday, adjourned the hearing of case of Christian couple’s lynching in Kot Radha Kishan, till June 16, and summoned further witnesses. ATC-II Judge Chaudhry Muhammad Azam recorded the statement of a witness, Iqbal Masih, who appeared before the court on being summoned.

106 accused had been indicted in the case and the police had alleged that brick-kiln owner Yousaf Gujjar, Maulvi Mohammad Hussain, Maulvi Arshad Baloch and Maulvi Noorul Hassan were involved in provoking people against the couple, which led to the assembly of a mob that attacked them.

An enraged mob on November 4, 2014, had beaten to death a Christian couple named Shama and Shehzad in a village near Kot Radha Kishan and later burnt their bodies in the furnace of a brick-kiln, where the couple worked.
