Finance Minister Ishaq Dar while addressing the letters to all the chief ministers directed them to take steps to ensure that the prices of various commodities remain stable during Ramzan and that increase in prices is not allowed under any condition.
The minister went on to say that the federal government would also closely monitor prices of different commodities in areas under its jurisdiction.
Dar stated that the government has announced a consumer and business-friendly budget. It has not announced any measures in the budget that could negatively impact prices of items of daily use by the common man. Furthermore prices of petroleum products as per announcement on May 31 have also not been enhanced for June as an effort to maintain price stability in Ramzan.
More empty hollow promises by the Finance Minister whose Prime Minister is receiving medical treatment in one of the most expensive hospitals in the world in UK.
