Three youngsters badly hurt in acid attack

Unidentified bike riders threw acid on three boys in Rehmanpura area of Lahore on Sunday.

Identified as Hamza Naeem (19), 16-year-old Furqan Afzal and Usama Sajid, 15, the youngsters were standing outside their home due to electricity load shedding when two bike-borne duos appeared on the scene, attacked them with acid and fled the scene.

Tariq, uncle of the victims, told Pakistan Today that his nephews, Hamza and Furqan recently took examination of matriculation while Usama appeared in 9th class examination held last month.

The three boys with critical burn injuries were ferried to the Services Hospital, where doctors said that they were trying to determine the type of the acid used by the attackers as the eyes of the three youngsters were hurt badly.

Police have lodged a case against the unidentified attackers and are investigating.
