At least nine suspects including two terrorists of a banned outfit have been arrested during search operations by the CTD and police in different areas of Karachi.
On a tip-off, the counter-terrorism department (CTD) raided at a hideout in Islam Chowk area of Orangi Town on Sunday and arrested two terrorists. The detainees were identified as Naik Din and Mohammad Akbar who were affiliated with banned TTP and Laskar-e-Jhangvi outfits.
The detainees were involved in various terrorism activities and firing incidents in Karachi city. Meanwhile, police raided at a hideout on Sunday in Malir Model Colony and arrested seven suspected persons. Police claimed to have recovered weapons and stolen motorcycle from the suspects’ possession.
