The Sindh medical faculty has failed to conduct annual and supplementary examination of paramedics in various disciplines despite passage of several months due to poor planning.

An official at School of Paramedics, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, told PPI that the Sindh Medical Faculty Board had failed to conduct annual examination of paramedics batch-2015 of paramedical training courses including operation theater technician, laboratory technician, blood bank technician, dental surgery, x-ray technician and dispenser despite the passage of five months.

He said annual examination of paramedic courses batch-2015, scheduled to be held in December 2015 or January 2016, could not be conducted yet. The supplementary examination of paramedic’s courses batch-2014 has also been delayed by one year due to poor planning by provincial health department bureaucracy. The delay in examinations has created uncertainty among the candidates.

He said future of hundreds of paramedic students is at stake due to delay in examination. He said over 7,000 paramedics students have already submitted examination forms to their respective schools of paramedics working across the Sindh province but the Sindh Medical Faculty has yet to announce final date of examination.
