Junaid Jamshed’s lifestyle brand, J. Fragrances has collaborated with the cricket legend, Wasim Akram to release a cologne honouring him called 414 Scent of Sultan on his 50th birthday.
“Wasim Akram is the highest wicket taker in test cricket for Pakistan, having taken 414 wickets in 104 matches; We thought it would make for the perfect name for the perfume,” shares Mohammed Ali Mufti, the Head of Sales and Marketing at J. Fragrances.
“He is a legend in all aspects — He’s a great sportsman but has also maintained the image of a responsible family man and that’s why we decided to pay tribute to him in this way.”
Several cricketers, including Virat Kohli and Shahid Afridi, have posted videos on their social media accounts congratulating the left-arm pacer on the scent launch.
The launch happened at the Pearl Continental on Saturday and needless to say, it was a star-studded affair in Karachi. Celebrities like Ayesha Omar, Junaid Khan Cricket Commentator Rameez Raja were spotted among others who came to the event to show their support. Ahmad Shahzad was there to commemorate the big day with a selfie, as Bushra Ansari was the host of the night.
