Ahmadi man gunned down outside his home in Attock

Unidentified gunmen shot dead a 65-year-old Ahmadi man in Attock on Saturday.

Police said Abdul Hameed Khan, a retired accountant living in Darul Islam neighbourhood in Attock, was standing outside his house when two unidentified motorcyclists shot a single bullet to his face.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

A senior police official said that Hameed belonged to the Ahmadi community and was running a pharmacy in the area after his retirement.

The senior police officer said that the police is investigating this case from two angles, it can either be a family dispute or a religiously motivated targeted killing.

A case has been registered against unidentified attackers in Attock City police station.
