Nurses from various government hospitals staged a sit-in in front of the Khyber Phuktunkwa Assembly on Thursday.
The nursing staff boycotted duties and protested on the road demanding health allowances, promotions and issuing of stipends.
The protestors said that KP Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak had assured them last year that their demands would be met, however, the administration was putting hurdles in meeting their demands
Roads leading to K-P Assembly remained blocked due to the protest and traffic came to a total standstill in many areas, causing hardships for motorists and commuters.
