More rain expected in next 24 hours

Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) Thursday (today) has predicted rain with a thunderstorm in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit-Baltistan and some parts of Kashmir during next 24 hours.

According to the PMD, a western disturbance is affecting upper parts of the country and is likely to persist till Friday.

The PMD said that dry weather would persist in most parts of country during next few days but rain with dusty winds and thunderstorm was expected in scattered places in KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu division), Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad divisions), Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

D.G.Khan. D.I.Khan, Quetta, Zhob and Multan divisions will receive rain during evening and night.

During the past 24 hours rain, dust-thunderstorm and the partial cloudy weather were witnessed in scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Peshawar, Malakand, Hazara divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir.

The weather remained dry in other parts of the country.
