Prime Minister Nawaz received bouquets and good wishes for his health following his surgery in central London.
British Prime Minister David Cameron expressed his good wishes in a letter for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who has had an open heart surgery at a private hospital in central London.
Cameron in a letter to his Pakistani counterpart said that he had heard about Nawaz’s illness and treatment in London.
Cameron said that he looks forward to the prime minister’s speedy recovery. The British prime minister also said that he wanted to visit Nawaz as soon as possible.
The premier is currently in an intensive care unit and will be shifted to a private room later on Thursday.
Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan sent a bouquet to the prime minister through his friend Zulfi Bukhari. The bouquet was received by the prime minister’s son Hussain Nawaz.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also sent a flower bouquet to the London hospital where currently the prime minister is under treatment.
United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon also expressed good wishes for Nawaz in a letter and prayed for his speedy recovery.
Saudi Arabia’s envoy to Pakistan also met Maryam Nawaz Sharif and inquired about the prime minister’s health.
