12 more dengue cases reported in Rawalpindi

At least 12 dengue viral fever cases have been reported in Rawalpindi.

Over 3000 people were affected by the dengue virus last year while at least 10 people have died from dengue fever this year in Rawalpindi. Two more patients surfaced after which the toll has reached to 12.

A patient named Sajid is being treated in Rawalpindi’s Benazir Hospital whereas Shahid and Nasir are admitted in Holy Family Hospital.

Moreover, separate dengue wards have started to function in all the three government hospitals of Rawalpindi along with Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Poly Clinic Hospital in Islamabad.
