The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday issued the details of tax returns filed by members of the provincial assemblies (MPAs) last year.
According to the details, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had assets of over Rs 525.5 million under his name, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak having assets worth Rs 275.3 million. Similarly, Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah had assets worth Rs 111.5 million and Rs 201.7 million, respectively, under his name.
The details further said that Shehbaz Sharif owned two plots worth Rs 140 million in London whereas his two wives, Nusrat Shehbaz and Tehmina Durrani, had assets worth Rs 277.2 million and Rs 9.17 million, respectively.
Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mahmoodur Rasheed had assets worth Rs 215.5 million, whereas Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Moonis Elahi held assets of Rs 651.5 million under his name. Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah had assets worth Rs 50 million under his name.
