Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto poked fun at the former chief justice (CJ) Iftikhar Chaudhry and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar in twitter messages.

Bilawal tweeted, “No PM, no FM, No CM Punjab, Interior minister MIA (missing in action). Good thing IffyK (Iftikhar Chaudhry) is not still CJ. He would have made himself PM by now.”

Pakistan currently does not have a permanent foreign minister and the duties are performed by Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz.

In another tweet, Bilawal claimed that Interior Minister Nisar had campaigned to become prime minister, but it did not succeed.

“Ch Nisar’s campaign to become PM isn’t going as well as planned and he’s getting frustrated. Poor form taking advantage of PM’s illness like this,” the PPP chairman said on Twitter.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his brother Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif are in London. The prime minister is recuperating from an open heart surgery and his family has flown to London to be with him.

The former chief justice had insisted that an acting prime minister should be appointed while Nawaz recovers from his surgery. His term as chief justice had witnessed unprecedented judicial activism.
