Attending expos sounds synonymous with visiting lifestyle-centric events where furniture, furnishing, home appliances and handcraftedtrinkets from remote parts of the country manage to draw large crowds. These expos aren’t just fun – the information you garner can actually make your life easier.

The same can be said for Zameen.com Property Expos, where agents, developers, home management businesses, investors, and visitors get together under one roof for a weekend of mutually beneficial interaction. Back in 2013, when Zameen.com decided to hold its first real estate expo, many believed that only a handful of people from the industry would walk in. How wrong they were! The very first event instantly drew in an impressive line-up of visitors, saw a footfall of over 25,000 people, and immense media coverage. In other words, it took the property sector by storm by illustrating the power of offline real estate activities.

This year, Zameen.com has single-handedly organised three massively successful expos so far – in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore – and three more are on the cards. The latest one in Lahore is the talk of the town in realty circles right now.

Zameen.com Expo 2016 (Lahore)

The recent event in Lahore that took place on May 28 and 29 at the expansive Expo Centre in Johar Town proved to be the biggest expo to date, in terms of traffic and the number of deals struck. It saw a whopping footfall of 55,000 people and over 105 exhibitors.

Learning the details of how successful this expo turned out to be should not be a shocker to anyone as almost 600 Zameen.com employees worked hard to make it a reality. The momentum of this event can be assessed by the fact that a significantly increased number of real estate agencies, developers, and related businessesfrom Pakistan and abroad signed up to showcase their projects and services, leading the company to book both Hall 1 and Hall 2 at the venue.

The response received by exhibitors was overwhelming. In fact, some stalls entertained so many visitors that they ran out of printed material, and many properties were purchased on the spot.

Waheed Real Estate CEO Waheed Tariq sold 7 DHA Bahawalpur files during the two-day event.

“I had no idea that being here would be so rewarding,” said Tariq. “Needless to say, I’m thrilled.”

Al Jalil Developers, registered with Zameen.com for the marketing of Al Jalil Gardens Lahore, saw25 plots booked right there and then, while Icon Valley and The Springs Apartment Homes Lahore, both of which have selected Zameen.com to be their exclusive and  official marketing partner, also sold multiple units.

“This expo has turned out to be just the kind of event Icon Valley wanted to be a part of,” said Icon Valley Business Development Assistant Manager Samara Khurram.

AK Real Estate, the most active exhibitor at the event, gave away smartphones every hour and offered gifts as grand as an 800cc car, 70cc motorbike and an Umrah ticket for the booking of plots and homes. They sold at least one Saudi Pak Home in Paragon City Lahore and several plots in many other projects they were marketing.

“People here need a little more than just tempting offers to purchase property on the spot. They need interaction and information,” saidAK Real Estate CEO Chaudhary Mehmood. “We have received an amazing response.”

Furthermore, Sheranwala Heights sold two apartments.

Family fun

Zameen.com expos are known for their visitor experience and this was no exception. Winners of Zameen.com’slucky draw took home gold coins, motorbikes and home appliances. These prizes were given away byChachaCricket, who also remained the centre of attention among people.

Meanwhile, the Wheel of Fortune spun throughout the weekend and gave visitors many giveaways, interactive photo booths added to the fun, and over 14 popular food vendors kept attendees refreshed. All in all, theZameen.com Property Expo 2016 in Lahore was certainly an event that made its mark.
