The US President, Barack Obama’s visit to Hiroshima is significant. And his call for a world sans nuclear weapon is welcome and must be appreciated.

To be frank, the countries the world over have encountered a lot of suffering in various forms and on many fronts to date. Such clarion calls [akin to Obama’s] will definitely heal the world’s wounds of the past.

But at the same time, the countries are in dire need of spin doctors in order to face the future challenges head-on.

In short, it is time to mitigate the global problems through diplomatic gestures, cordial visits, strong strategies and good rapport.
