Former Pakistani skipper and cricket legend Javed Miandad on Monday described Inzamam-ul-Haq-led selection committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as “one-man show.”
Inzamam heads a panel that includes former opening batsman Wajahatullah Wasti, Tauseef Ahmed, an offspinner who played 34 Tests and 70 One Day International’s (ODIs), and seam-bowling all-rounder Wasim Haider, who played three ODIs and over 100 first-class and List A matches.
“Inzamam-ul-Haq has got all the yes men in his committee,” Miandad told the media.
The former skipper said that selection committee should not destroy the cricket of Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal.
The two players were axed from the fitness camp on disciplinary grounds.
To a question about Pakistan’s upcoming tour of England, he said that it would be a tough challenge for Misbah eleven.
“The England tour had always been difficult for Pakistan,” he said.
