At least 40 people, including children, were injured when a ferris wheel broke down in a festival at the shrine of Masoom Shah in Kallar Syedan near Rawalpindi.
The incident occurred when the swing broke down and plunged to the ground during the Urs of Hazrat Masoom Shah on Tuesday.
The injured were rushed to a local hospital. The doctors provided medical treatment to injured persons, who had sustained minor injuries and discharged them.
The police reached the festival site and arrested the swing’s owner and operator.
